Child Safety Standards

Mamonis (mamonis.studio, "we") does not tolerate any child sexual abuse or exploitation in the app "murmur" (the "App"). This page sets out our standards, what we do to enforce them, and how to report.

1. What is prohibited

The following are strictly prohibited in the App. We remove them without exception and act as described in 4 below.

• Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), in any form, including images, text and links
• Grooming (approaching a minor to gain their trust for sexual purposes)
• Sexualized depictions or descriptions of minors
• Attempting sexual contact with a minor, or trying to meet a minor for sexual purposes

2. Age requirement

The App is intended for people aged 18 and over (Terms of Use, section 2). If we find, or are told about, a user who appears to be a minor, we take action such as removing their posts and suspending their use of the App.

3. How we prevent it

• Every post (mur) and reply is checked by AI before it is published. Anything that sexualizes or endangers minors is not published.
• Photos are also checked by AI before other users see them; borderline cases are reviewed by our staff.
• Any post or reply can be reported, and its author blocked, from within the App.
• Reports are reviewed by our staff within 24 hours.

4. What we do about violations

• We remove the content immediately once confirmed.
• We permanently suspend the user who posted it, after a single violation.
• We preserve the necessary records as required by law.
• We report to the relevant authorities as required by law (in Japan, the police and the Internet Hotline Center; in the United States, NCMEC (National Center for Missing & Exploited Children); or the competent authority in the relevant country).

5. How to report

• In the App: use the report button on any post or reply and choose the category "Child safety". We review reports in this category before any other reports.
• On the web: use the contact form at https://murmur.mamonis.studio/support. You can report even if you do not have the App.

If a child is in immediate danger, first contact the police or the emergency services in your country.
