About
Choshi has hosted this yosakoi dance festival since 2004. Teams bring together dancers of every age, from kids to adults, and each one wins over the crowd with high-energy routines. On the first evening, an eve event at the Iinuma Kannon venue stages a Nanchu Soran dance competition. The next day is the main festival, with performances spread across venues around town, including City Hall, the Tone River, Symbol Road and Iinuma Kannon, so you can compare each team's style. It goes ahead in rain but is called off in stormy weather.
