About

In early summer, the Tatebayashi Iris Garden in Tsutsujigaoka Daini Park holds this festival as about 5000 iris plants of some 70 varieties come into bloom. Tatebayashi is also home to Tsutsujigaoka Park, famous for spring azaleas, where the season moves on from azaleas to irises and lotus, so there is still plenty in flower after the azaleas fade. The garden is about a 20-minute walk from the east exit of Tatebayashi Station on the Tobu Isesaki Line, or you can take a local bus to the Kodomo Kagakukan-mae stop. Drivers can use the free Obiki parking lot.
