About
Izushi's castle festival, a defining event for this old castle town in Toyooka, is held every November 3. People come for the daimyo procession, in which some 100 children dressed as a feudal lord and his retinue parade through town, joined by about 30 adults dressed as yakko footmen who swing spears as they go. The festival is centered on the area around the Izushi Castle ruins. If you drive, municipal and private parking lots are available nearby.
