About
This food festival at Ushitsu Port is a feast of kanburi, the winter yellowtail that is Noto Town's seasonal pride. Caught in the coldest part of the year, the fish has firm flesh and plenty of rich fat. You can watch a yellowtail being butchered on site, then work your way through the Umaimon Yokocho stalls of yellowtail dishes, Noto-don rice bowls and sushi, and pick up local seafood products and farm produce at the Iimono Ichi market. The venues are Iyasaka Plaza and Oyane Plaza (Minato no Niwa) at Ushitsu Port, and entry is free. The bus from Noto Airport takes around 20 minutes.
