About
Marugame's Golden Week festival takes over the area around Marugame Castle for two days. Expect lion dance performances, the Marugame Basara dance and surprise "guerrilla" sets by street performers and musicians, while the Marugame Oshiro-mura fair runs alongside. Comedy acts and a hero show round out a programme that works well for families. It is organised by the Marugame Oshiro Matsuri Supporters' Association and co-hosted by the Oshiro-mura executive committee, with support from the city, the Marugame Chamber of Commerce and the city tourism association. Roads nearby are restricted during the festival, and temporary parking is provided.

On the day, see what locals are murmuring on the murmur map
murmur is an app that shows short, anonymous posts on a map, right where they were written. On festival day, open the map around the venue and see what people nearby are saying.
