About
In the Tosa dialect, okyaku means a party, and this event treats the whole of central Kochi as one big banquet table for local food and drink. The nineteenth edition ran from March 7 to 15, 2026, with Toyo Denka Central Park as its main stage. The park gathers a village of stalls serving regional dishes, a Tosa sake fair and yosakoi dance performances. Bero-bero no Kamisama, the sake god who turns up in a Kochi drinking-party song, also makes an appearance, and an amulet booth offers fortune slips and votive plaques as lucky keepsakes. In 2027 the festival reaches its 20th edition.
