About
Tied to Ebisuko, the autumn festival of Nishinomiya Shrine in Nagano City, this display is held in November, a month when fireworks are rare in Japan. In the clear late-autumn air, big shells and lavish starmines set to music burst close overhead. The show dates from 1899, when the city launched fireworks during Ebisuko to wish for thriving commerce and industry. The 2026 edition is the 120th and takes place at the Saigawa No. 2 green space just west of Nagano Ohashi Bridge, with a drone show also planned. Paid seats are available, and official parking must be reserved ahead of time. The organizer is the Nagano Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
