About
The Osaka Festival of the Lights brightens the city through winter, running from November 3, 2026 to January 31, 2027. Two core programs anchor it. Midosuji Illumination lights up about 4 kilometers of Midosuji from Umeda to Namba, and you can step off at any Osaka Metro Midosuji Line station between Umeda and Namba to see it. OSAKA Hikari no Renaissance takes place around Osaka City Hall. Area programs run by venues and neighborhoods across the city add to the mix; entry is generally free, though some area programs charge. There is no visitor parking, so use public transportation. It is organized by a committee of Osaka Prefecture, Osaka City, the Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau, business groups and others.
