About
Running from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Nagasaki Kaido Monzen Hiroba plaza in central Kanzaki, this summer night festival aims to revive, for one evening, the buzz of the town's post-station days. Stage shows and other events fill the program. In the Edo period, Kanzaki was a high-ranking main stop on the Nagasaki Kaido highway and the economic hub of eastern Hizen, and a summer evening here is a pleasant way to get a feel for that past. Entry and parking are free. Walk about 10 minutes from JR Kanzaki Station, or drive about 15 minutes from the Higashisefuri interchange on the Nagasaki Expressway.
