About
This autumn event lets you get acquainted with the businesses, farms and forests of the Fukuoka area of Takaoka by looking, shopping and tasting. At the Fukuoka General Cultural Center, stands sell local specialties, fresh produce and wild mountain greens, and area companies show what they do. A distinctive touch is the Toyama Prefecture carp show held on the same site, and what many visitors come for is koikoku, Fukuoka's well-loved carp dish. Various other activities fill out the day, making it an easy way to sample autumn food while learning about the local economy. Hours are 9:00 to 15:00. There is parking for 300 cars, and Fukuoka Station on the Ainokaze Toyama Railway is about 10 minutes away on foot.
