About

In the height of summer, dance teams from all over Japan descend on Nagoya for one of the country's biggest dance festivals. Venues are spread around the city, with Hisaya Odori Park at the center, and the action runs from an opening eve into two main days. At every stage you can watch teams up close, each with its own costumes and choreography. The signature sodori, a mass dance, is open to spectators too, so you can jump in rather than just watch.
