About
Ono's old castle town hosts this big winter event, centered on Echizen Ono Yui Station. Snow lanterns are set out from there along Shichiken-dori, bathing the streets in a gentle glow. The headline attraction is a winter fireworks show with Echizen Ono Castle as its backdrop, so you can wander among the lanterns and watch bursts of color rise beyond the castle into the cold night sky. Yui Station has no parking of its own; use the public lots in town, such as the South Castle Town Plaza lot at Ono City Hall or the East and West Castle Town Plaza lots. It is about 10 minutes on foot from JR Echizen-Ono Station.
