About

Obihiro's big winter festival fills Midorigaoka Park with finely carved ice sculptures, including entries from a national ice-carving competition and a local snow-and-ice sculpture contest. There is a giant ice slide and spinning sleds, while fireworks and soft lantern light give the park a different mood after dark. Warm up at the Ice Marche food stalls with Tokachi food. The festival is organized by the Obihiro festival promotion committee.
