About

Hodatsushimizu, a town on the Noto Peninsula, puts on this autumn fireworks show, organised by the Hodatsushimizu Grand Fireworks Executive Committee with the whole community pitching in. The programme includes a set piece that spells out Ganbaro Noto (Hang in there, Noto), a special starmine supporting the region's recovery, a starmine choreographed to film music, creative shells that form smiley faces and hearts, and a closing Niagara Falls cascade. There is plenty to do before dark, too: from early afternoon you'll find food stalls, food trucks, festival games, the Kuchi-Noto gourmet fair run by the town's tourism association and stage shows by local groups, so it is worth arriving early and making a day of it.
