About
This winter food event in Iida, Suzu, is the place to eat your fill of anglerfish, one of Suzu's prized local foods. The main attraction is tsurushi-giri, a demonstration of carving an anglerfish while it hangs from a hook. Collagen-rich anglerfish hot pot is on sale too, perfect for warming up on a cold day. In 2026 the event was held jointly with Suzu Marukajiri for the first time. The venue, Iida Wakuwaku Hiroba, is a short walk from the Suzu City Hall stop on the Suzu limited express bus.
