About
Fukuriki Kojin Shrine in Tsuyama, known for guarding against mamushi pit vipers and for safe childbirth, holds its lunar new year grand festival for three days starting on the last Saturday of January. During the festival, a paid temporary car park for 300 cars opens in addition to the regular one. The shrine is right next to JR Mimasaka-Osaki Station and about 10 minutes by car from the Tsuyama interchange on the Chugoku Expressway. For details of the rituals, visitors are asked to contact the shrine directly; on festival days, the shrine office handles inquiries.
