About

This gathering remembers Harusame (Spring Rain), a song written in Nagasaki by Shibata Hanamori, a samurai of the Ogi domain; 2026 was the sixty-third time it has been held. Performers from Nagasaki's Kenban travel to Ogi to dance Harusame and other pieces, and before the main event they also dance at the Harusame Monument in Ogi Park. The main gathering, at Yume Platto Ogi, is for about 160 people and costs 6,000 yen; ask the Ogi Tourist Information Center for details. It is about 1 minute on foot from the Ogi bus stop and about 15 minutes from JR Ogi Station, or roughly 10 minutes by car from the Ogi Smart Interchange, with free parking.
