About
Over Golden Week, Omiya Bonsai Village in Saitama City, an area of bonsai gardens that attracts interest from Japan and overseas, hosts this bonsai festival; 2026 was the forty-third. Along the Bonsai Shiki-no-michi path, at the Bonsai Shiki-no-ie hall and in the village's own nurseries, you'll find exhibits of residents' bonsai and sales of trees and pots, popular with enthusiasts. The period is branded Omiya Bonsai Week: Bonsai Shiki-no-ie puts on a hospitality event with food stalls and workshops, and events in central Omiya offer bonsai displays and local food. The area gets crowded, so trains and buses are the way to go.
