About
The legend of Kyubi, the nine-tailed fox, inspires Nasu's biggest festival. Its twenty-first edition, in 2026, was held at a special venue in the parking lot of the Nasu Town Cultural Center. All day long the fox takes over, with the Hakumen Kinmo Kyubi-no-Kitsune taiko drummers, a nine-tailed fox mikoshi, Kyubi yosakoi dancing and more, while attractions and food trucks keep the crowds of visitors busy. The venue itself has no parking: leave your car at a temporary lot such as the town hall or the Central Sports Park and ride the free shuttle bus. Shuttles also leave from Kurodahara Station on the JR Tohoku Main Line.
