About
Every January 28, Takahata Fudoson Kongoji marks the year's first festival day for Fudo Myoo. Counted among the three great Fudo temples of the Kanto region, it holds its Hatsu-Fudo grand festival and a children's procession that day, along with a daruma market. Stalls from across Kanto set up in the grounds to sell daruma, and the temple gets very crowded with worshippers. With a daruma, you paint in one eye when making a wish and the other when the wish comes true.
