About
This festival remembers the soldiers of both armies who died in the 1560 Battle of Okehazama, where Oda Nobunaga clashed with Imagawa Yoshimoto. It started as a memorial service; a samurai procession and a battle re-enactment were added later so that more people would learn the story. The program is split over two days. The first is for memorial rites, such as services at Yoshimoto's grave and at the Senninzuka mound, and anyone may attend the Senninzuka service. On the second, the legendary battlefield site and Kutsukake Castle Ruins Park host the warrior procession, the re-enactment, stage performances and food booths. There is no parking, so walk from Meitetsu Chukyo-keibajo-mae Station.
