About
Kosaka's early-summer town festival fills Kosaka Central Park for two days, and in 2026 it reached its 41st edition. Food and merchandise booths line the grounds while a stage hosts a varied programme of performances, drawing visitors from in and outside the town — the organisers counted about 12,000 people over the two days of the 2026 festival, held on June 6 and 7. Related events take place at venues around town at the same time. The festival may be called off in bad weather or after a disaster according to the town's published criteria. It is run by the Kosaka Acacia Festival Committee, based in the town's tourism and industry division.
