About
Each autumn Saijo in Higashihiroshima throws a festival devoted to sake. It began as two separate events: a community festival started in 1979, and the Saijo Sake Festival that the Saijo Sake Brewers Association had been holding since around 1972. Today they run as one, with venues scattered around town: the main venue, Sake Hiroba, the brewery district, a bishu-nabe hot-pot venue and a play area for kids. Plan on walking between them and spending the day sampling Saijo's sake and food.
