About
During Golden Week, from May 3 to 5, central Hiroshima is decorated with flowers for a festival that presents itself as a celebration of peace connecting the city with the world. Peace Memorial Park and Peace Boulevard are the main stages. The 3rd opens with a ceremony and the grand flower parade; the 5th brings a performance parade, Kinsai YOSAKOI dance teams and a fire finale to close. In between, and on all three days, you can wander the stages, open plazas, a regional products fair and a flea market. For its 49th outing in 2026, the festival took as its theme the hope that wishes for peace will spread out from Hiroshima and bloom around the world. There is no admission charge.
