About
Sado Kokuoni Daiko Dotcom gathers the folk performing arts of Sado Island in one spot. The Sado Okesa dance, onidaiko demon drumming and other traditions kept alive in villages all over the island are performed back to back at a single venue. About 25 groups appear each year, and the event is popular enough to draw more than 10,000 spectators. Food stalls serve fresh seafood from the seas off Sado and island sake. It runs over two days, late afternoon into evening on the first and morning to late afternoon on the second. The venue is right by Ryotsu Port, with parking and accessible toilets.
