About
During the Golden Week holidays in May, the whole castle town of Kitsuki hosts the city's largest event. The main draw is a procession of warriors in full armour moving through the old streets, like a history scroll come to life. A matchlock gun corps fires off demonstrations whose blasts you can feel from close by, and there are sword-fight shows as well. Stages and hands-on corners make it easy to enjoy with children. Free shuttle buses run from temporary car parks on the day. 2026 marked its 39th edition.
