About
Yutoku Inari Shrine in Kashima celebrates the anniversary of the Inari deity's enshrinement here with this festival, which the shrine's calendar sets for the first Day of the Horse in February. Crowds come to pray for thriving business, and with events in the grounds the shrine stays busy all day. There is no charge to visit. By car it is about 10 minutes from JR Hizen-Kashima Station and 30 to 40 minutes from the Takeo or Ureshino interchanges; the outer parking lot in front of the Yutoku Museum is free for the first 30 minutes.
