About
Over Japan's spring holidays, crowds of koinobori carp streamers swim in the air around Tsukigatani Onsen in Kamikatsu. They stay up for roughly nine days, and Children's Day is when the activities happen. Expect a market and food trucks, a corner for blowing soap bubbles, an iris-leaf bath in the hot spring's large bath (fee required), and hand-catching amago trout at the campground (fee required). Kids of elementary school age or younger who take a bath get a small present such as sweets, while supplies last. It makes for an easy family outing to a hot spring in the mountains. The streamer dates can shift with the weather.
