About
In spring, Tonami Tulip Park puts on a festival entirely devoted to tulips, with around 3.5 million blooms of 300 varieties. Start with the huge picture planted in the main bed, which you can take in fully from the Tulip Tower or the Tulip Skywalk. Many other themed beds await: the Hana no Otani, a passage of tulips 4 meters high and 30 meters long inspired by the snow walls of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route; flower beds floating on water, a concept that started in Tonami; the heart-shaped I LOVE garden; a garden where five linked waterwheels turn; and a garden collecting all 300 varieties. The seventy-fifth fair took place in 2026, and 2027 brings the seventy-sixth. Children up to junior high school age get in free on Children's Day, May 5.
