About
Every April, the Yuda Onsen hot spring area in Yamaguchi City holds this spring festival, one of the city's three major festivals. Legend credits a white fox with finding the spring, and the festival thanks the hot water for its blessings and prays it will never stop flowing. On the first evening, children made up as white foxes carry torches through the onsen streets. Stage events and plenty of other attractions give the whole district a festive air. The festival is held along Prefectural Route 204 and the surrounding onsen streets, about 10 minutes' walk from JR Yuda-Onsen Station.
