About
Kosuge, a village at the headwaters of the Tama River, holds this big event every year on May 4. Villagers work together to put it on, and it draws many visitors each year. In the daytime, the stage features folk performing arts from Kosuge and other places along the Tama River, a kayo song show, impersonation acts and a Super Sentai hero show, with stalls selling goods and food. Children have plenty to do, from catching trout by hand and festival games to ninja training and bouncy inflatables. The evening program wraps up with bingo, sky lanterns and fireworks.
