About

In the Kono district of Minamiechizen, Kaburagi Beach on the Sea of Japan hosts a summer night festival. From late afternoon a food stall village and a kids' area open on the sand, while local acts and live music fill the stage. After dark about 6,600 fireworks go up over the sea, and the bangs bounce back from the mountains, so you feel the show as much as see it. There is no parking for private cars near the beach, so use the shuttle bus from the designated temporary lots. Stormy weather pushes the festival to the next day.
