About
From May 3 to 5 every year, during Golden Week, Oribe Hills, the Mino ware wholesale district in Toki, hosts the region's biggest pottery market. Counted among Japan's three great pottery fairs, it draws crowds from inside and outside Gifu. The core is the bargain pottery sale, where around 60 ceramics wholesalers open stalls and sell tableware at prices offered only once a year. Beyond hunting for dishes, there are various events, making for a relaxed holiday outing. Free shuttle buses run from the north exit of JR Tokishi Station during the fair, and parking is provided.
