About
Each autumn, the Kamojima area of Yoshinogawa puts on a chrysanthemum show that combines two events: the Kamojima Chrysanthemum Dolls, held since the Taisho era, and the long-established Shikoku Chrysanthemum Exhibition. The dolls, dressed in chrysanthemum blooms, depict the hero of the current NHK historical drama. The exhibition section is packed with lovingly grown flowers, including award winners such as the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Prize entry. It takes place in the event plaza in front of the city hall, a walk from Kamojima Station on the JR Tokushima Line, and typically runs from mid-October to mid-November.
