About
Kurayoshi's summer festival spans two days. The first day belongs to the Kurayoshi Ginza shopping street, where a parade is followed by the Mitsuboshi Odori dance contest with around 1,500 dancers. The next day shifts to the riverbank beneath Kurayoshi Bridge for stage events, and fireworks over the city bring the festival to an end. The white-walled storehouses and red-tiled streets of the old town are right around the festival area, so you can slip away for a walk through history between events. The organizing committee is run out of the community development section of Kurayoshi City Hall.
