About
Named after King Sho En, this two-day summer festival on Izena Island is organized by the Commerce and Tourism Section of the Izena village office. Once evening falls, the stage at Rinkai Fureai Park comes alive with Ryukyuan dance, the island's Sho En taiko drummers, folk and pop concerts and a prize draw, and fireworks close both nights. During the day there is a King Sho En history walking tour along with an offshore fishing contest, a youth soccer tournament and ground golf.
