About
Kunigami's village festival takes place on the grounds of Kunigami Junior High School in Hentona, in the far north of Okinawa Island. The Kunigami Village Festival Executive Committee runs it, and it is billed as a festival of local food, music, sports, hands-on activities and fireworks. In 2026 its 38th edition was held over two days, August 15 and 16. Visitors are directed to park at the Hentona Elementary School grounds or the village office.
