About
This spring flower festival takes place at Fuji Motosuko Resort at the foot of Mount Fuji. About 500,000 moss phlox plants, said to be one of the largest displays in the Tokyo area, cover the wide grounds, and six varieties in pink, white, purple and more form patterns of color with Mount Fuji rising behind. Photo spots are set up around the site, and other flowers such as grape hyacinths, anemones and Mitsuba azaleas bloom as the season moves on. The festival runs from about mid-April to late May, shifting with the bloom. Admission varies by period. The Fuji Shibazakura Liner bus runs to the venue from Kawaguchiko Station.
