About
Set in Asahigaoka Lakeside Green Park, one of Japan's 100 best shorelines, this is a popular autumn event on Lake Yamanaka. Lights along the lakeside promenade pick out the autumn trees and Mount Fuji together. Sunset is the time to be there, as the sky turns deep red and the colored leaves are reflected in the lake. Plenty of food stalls set up on the grounds, offering Yamanashi wine and local dishes. Regular features include a winery booth and the Wan-Nyan Grand Prix, a pet photo contest. A village car park sits right next to the venue, and you can also walk from the Asahigaoka bus stop.
