mood — a question for everyone

For a set period, we post a question such as “What’s the weather like?”. While it’s running, a one-line banner appears at the top of the map. Tap it and choice buttons appear above the usual post screen. Just tap a choice to answer, or add a few words (up to 140 characters).

Your answer appears on the map as a regular mur, with the same location shift, lifetime and reply settings. When you zoom out, each area shows the icon of its most common answer. When the period ends, the map goes back to normal, and the answer murs stay until their time runs out.

monument — build it together

We place a pin on the map. When enough people leave murs answering its mood question nearby, the monument is complete. The pin shows the current count and the goal; each person counts once, however many murs they post. When it’s done, participants get a notification and can make a commemorative share image (with no location or time on it). Monuments that don’t reach their goal simply fade from the map when the period ends.

Still anonymous

Answers to mood and monument are nameless, just like any other mur. The location used to check monument participation is discarded right after the check, and participation records are deleted 7 days after the monument is completed or ends.
