About
Fuefuki's summer fireworks festival is launched from the banks of the Fuefuki River in front of City Hall. The 2026 show was the sixty-second, lighting up the night sky for a while one evening. There are no paid seats: apart from areas for sponsors, everyone watches for free, and saving a spot is allowed only from the afternoon of the day before. Fuefuki's summer runs from July into August with the Isawa cormorant fishing on the Fuefuki River, its cormorant fishing fireworks and neighborhood festivals across the city, and this display comes last of all. The next morning there is a clean-up around the venue that visitors are welcome to join. Drones are not allowed. The Fuefuki City Tourism and Products Federation organizes the event, co-hosted by Fuefuki City.
